What this means for a Wyoming counselor
A counselor who lives in Wyoming and holds an unencumbered Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) can apply through CompactConnect for a privilege to practice in any other live state: Arizona, Minnesota, Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia, Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee. Each remote state is a separate request with its own fee, and some require a jurisprudence exam first.
Counselors from those states can likewise apply for a Wyoming privilege and treat Wyoming clients in person or by telehealth, under Wyoming practice law.
CE does not change. Privilege holders complete continuing education for their home state only, so the Wyoming license keeps its own renewal cycle and every privilege renews with it. The Wyoming rule is on the Wyoming counselor CE page.
