What this means for a Arizona counselor
A counselor who lives in Arizona and holds an unencumbered Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) can apply through CompactConnect for a privilege to practice in any other live state: Minnesota, Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia, Indiana, Arkansas, Wyoming, Tennessee. Each remote state is a separate request with its own fee, and some require a jurisprudence exam first.
Counselors from those states can likewise apply for a Arizona privilege and treat Arizona clients in person or by telehealth, under Arizona practice law.
CE does not change. Privilege holders complete continuing education for their home state only, so the Arizona license keeps its own renewal cycle and every privilege renews with it. The Arizona rule is on the Arizona counselor CE page.
