Becoming a qualified supervisor in Florida
Florida registered interns — RCSWI, RMHCI, RMFTI — must be supervised by a board-qualified supervisor. Qualifying takes a licensed LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT with the required experience, profession-specific coursework, and a supervisory training pathway: usually the 12-hour board-approved course.
Once qualified, the obligation doesn't end — a 4-hour supervisory training refresher is due every third renewal.

ACS credential (CCE)
Holding the Approved Clinical Supervisor designation from the Center for Credentialing and Education satisfies the training pathway without the 12-hour Florida course.
AAMFT Approved Supervisor
For marriage and family therapy supervision, AAMFT's Approved Supervisor designation is an accepted pathway.
